Watch your DVD videos on your Windows Smartphone
Windows Smartphones seem to have gone full circle, they were popular at first, seemed to go through a 'lull', and now they are back in the
limelight.
They seem to be very popular in particular on the Orange phone network in the UK.
Smartphone DVD and video conversions have been supported by the Pocket DVD Wizard for over two years, but quality has improved and we always recommend
you upgrade to the latest version of the software (the upgrade is free for all registered users).
Not all Smartphones are the same
There are two distinct types, early phones (pre 2005), and more recent phones.
If you have an early phone we recommend you stick to the Smartphone option in the Pocket DVD Wizard. This will give the best results, and the
smallest possible file size.
If however you have a recent phone or an iJam etc then you may actually be better simply selecting the Pocket PC conversion option instead. The file
size will be larger, however the quality will also be better, and the later phones can decoder the higher quality files at an acceptable rate.
Of course, the latest models can also play all the files the early ones could play, so if you want to keep the file size down, stick with
the 'Smartphone' option.
If you see any 'judder' or stalling during playback, simply re-convert the file selecting a smaller file size, as that would indicate your phones
processor is having problems keeping up.

The trial version allows you to convert 5 minutes of DVD video free so you can see how easy the software is to use, and just how good the results are!
